Printing for pharma and healthcare

Healthcare print is read by people who are unwell, in a hurry, or both, and some of it is regulated. That puts legibility ahead of every other design decision: type size, contrast and a paper that does not fight the ink. The items below cover the leaflet in the box, the label on it, the material a representative carries, and what staff wear.

Before you order

  • Check what your regulator requires on the pack before designing it. Statutory text, batch and expiry details and — for the formulations covered by Schedule H2 — a scannable QR code all have to fit at a legible size, and the artwork has to leave room for them.
  • Keep variable data separate from fixed artwork. Batch numbers and expiry dates change every run; a label designed with a clear panel for them can be overprinted or reprinted without touching the rest.
  • Test a QR code from a printed proof, not a screen. Codes that scan on a monitor fail when printed too small or on a glossy stock that reflects the phone torch.

Questions

Can you print the QR code and barcode that pharma packaging now requires?

Yes, as part of your artwork. You supply the code as vector artwork or a high-resolution image, sized to scan reliably, and we print it with the rest of the label or carton. We do not generate or register the code itself — the data it carries, and the product identification behind it, comes from your regulatory team.

Do you print batch numbers and expiry dates?

We print what is in the artwork you approve, so a run carries one batch and one expiry. For labels that change every batch, order in batch-sized quantities, or design the label with a blank panel for the pharmacy or packer to overprint. We do not currently offer serialised or per-unit variable data.

Do you have a facility near our plant?

No. We print at our Bengaluru facility and deliver free to any serviceable PIN code in India, with transit of roughly two to five working days depending on the city. Production time is shown on each product page and starts at artwork approval.
