Events and exhibitions
A stand has to work from across a hall and from a metre away, and those are different jobs. Height and a clear name do the first; something worth taking home does the second. The items below cover both, plus the passes and signage that keep the day running.
Before you order
- Order to arrive several days early, not the day before. Production plus transit is commonly a week, and an event date does not move because a courier is late.
- Check the stand size and any height limit before ordering a backdrop. Organisers publish both, and a backdrop that does not fit is unusable rather than merely awkward.
- Read your text from three metres away in the artwork proof. Type that looks generous on a screen routinely disappears at hall distance.

Questions
How far in advance should I order for an event?
Allow two weeks where you can. Production runs 1 to 5 working days, transit 2 to 5 depending on the city, and the clock starts only when artwork is approved — so a file that needs correcting can quietly consume several days. Two weeks absorbs one round of corrections without drama.
Can I reuse a standee at the next event?
Yes, and it is worth designing for. A standee with no dates and no venue on it works at every event you take it to; putting the date on the artwork makes it single-use for the sake of one line that a separate printed sign could carry instead.
What size should an exhibition backdrop be?
Match it to the stand your organiser has allotted, and check whether anything — a fascia board, lighting rig or neighbouring stand — eats into the height. We print backdrops to custom sizes, so the constraint is the venue rather than a fixed set of dimensions.
